Drumroll Please!!

With all the awesome entries from our extended challenge, we had to go beyond a top 5. So without further ado, let me introduce our TOP 7 (in no particular order)!!

 TIITONYY

created this awesome steampunk inspired violin with some natural elements in a gorgeous patina

 CATHY

has created the most imaginative piece with a Funko doll.

I am sure this character has a story to tell.

 MACARENA

built a robot out of cogs, gears and bits and added a bit of romance with that flower.

Are you thinking about all the bits you have to build with?

 VEENA

turned a lightbulb into a gorgeous rusty butterfly made of cogs and gears!

Look closely at all those wonderful embellishments.

MEGUMI

is wonderfully talented at creating moving steampunk projects!

How cool is this steampunk gum ball machine?

SHRADDHA

has created a gorgeous altered boat to carry us on our journey through life!

She shares some lovely thoughts too on her post.

LISA

puts an interesting and darker twist on steampunk with her creative piece!

It's like a step back to the time of the barber surgeon.

Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for sharing your amazing makes and awesome inspiration with all of us! Please feel free to grab the Top 5 badge from above (or the sidebar) and display it on your blog.

Congratulations!!!

***

MANY THANKS to each and every one of you who participated in our extended challenge during these difficult times. We are so inspired by your beautiful creative work and look forward to each entry.  May creativity connect us and keep us in good spirits around the globe! We look forward to your entries in our May challenge, which is open until May 31. As always, anything steampunk/industrial in mixed media is welcome.

Keep the cogs and gears of creativity turning in our little steampunk universe!

Sandee & Amelie's May Steampunk Challenge

Welcome back friends! We hope this finds you and your loved ones in good health. We are so happy to be back together for our steampunk/industrial challenge with you, and are thrilled with the phenomenal participation over the last two months with our COVID-19 extended challenge.

Perhaps you found more time to create while safely at home, or maybe it was your way to destress after a day of working...whatever the reason, we love seeing the amazing makes you created and shared here with us. It is an honor to share our little steampunk corner of the universe with you!

THANK YOU!!

As always, our challenge this month is

STEAMPUNK/INDUSTRIAL
Anything Goes.

We welcome all types of projects that fit our steampunk/industrial mixed media theme. Please check the rules for the details. Maybe this is your first steampunk project, we would love to see it! Maybe you have entered before, welcome back! This challenge is open to all levels, and we love the inspiration you share here.

Many, many thanks to our awesome sponsors who keep the cogs and gears turning here!

DecoArt

and boozybear

At the end of each challenge, two winners are randomly selected from all proper entries (be sure to check out our posted rules) and will either get an awesome DecoArt Media prize package, or an amazing chipboard package.

In these continuing uncertain times due to the global pandemic, our awesome sponsors have been impacted with closings. We are trying to get the prizes out in our usual time frame, but please understand there may be a delay in processing and getting the prizes out to the winners.

Now, on to the wonderful makes from our team...

Claudia

is much into ATC's this year, and here is her latest called...

"The Inventor"

Kerstin

has a wonderful house shaped creation for us in a limited edition

"Heart and Soul"

Zoja

is sharing a huge tag filled with gorgeous textures and rust

Susan

created this wonderfully textured tag with a nature theme - check out that huge insect!

and I, Maura

made two artist trading cards with steampunk hares and words of encouragement

Thanks for stopping by our little corner of the Steampunk Universe. We hope to see you playing along with us this month in our steampunk/industrial challenge which is open until the end of May.

Remember, we will have two prize draws and choose the design team's Top 5!

Top 5 for May and prize winners will be posted on June 15th,

so be sure to pop back to check that out.

(Check back May 15 for the winners from the past two months.)

Time to put your top hat on and get crafting with us!

Hugs, and happy crafting!

SanDee&amelie's March 2020 Steampunk Challenge

Hi, servus and thanks so much for stopping by and being part of our monthly challenges once again!
Claudia here this month to present to you our March challenge, which is once again an

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

themed one.

Just before we dive into steampunk crafting fun I would like to once more address the fact that we ask all our players who enter our challenges via Instagram to upload their pictures directly to our InLinkz collection instead of giving the Instagram link. They have made some changes to their platform at the start of the year - one of which doesn't allow fetching images from their platform anymore. But as this is a challenge blog that is mainly about sharing inspiration and getting inspired by the others' projects (and only secondly about making Top5 or win two of our sponsors' generous prize bundles), being able to see these in a picture is crucial (at least from my point of view).

For all those not familiar with uploading images to Inlinkz directly from their devices and how to add a link and email address I have put up a short how-to that you can find in our tabs right below our challenge blog header.

This way we will be able to show ALL your Top 5 projects again instead of just having links and names in our  Top 5 listings! Thanks for your understanding!

Bespoken "prize bundles" are - as always - being donated by our two generous and true sponsors DecoArt and boozybear to whom the team and I would once more like to shout out a huge "THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR GENEROSITY AND FOR BEING WITH US!"
As usual two prize winners will be selected at the end of the month via random.org among all proper entries - so make sure you've checked our few rules (which you can find with the "Da Rules" tab below our blog header). The challenge is open until the end of the month and prize winners are announced on the 15th of the following month.

My wonderful design team have once more come up with awesomely inspiring projects and I always love the variety in their approaches to the steampunk or industrial theme! But let's stop talking - take a look for yourselves:

Kerstin

has created another stunning art journal page

filled with beautiful texture

that she calls "Moments in Time"

She has used some chipboards, stencils and paper cut outs as well as some self made casts she has done using a newly bought soft mold and an "extraordinary filling" - so check out her blog to find out more!

Zoja

has used her "favourite colours and die cut hearts alongside some moons" on a beautiful base that has an extraordinary shape - so eye-catching, isn't it?

Susan

has come up with a journal page as well. Look at all those layers and collaged elements! I love those pops of vibrant colours here and there and that loosely done background!

Maura's

"Steampunk Illuminati"

project had her (and me) come up with many intriguing questions...

"What would Paris look like in the steampunk universe? Was the Eiffel Tower a device to collect the aether? A portal to another dimension? Could it be, the answers are all hidden in the symbols of this piece?"

Here's a close up of her project

showing beautiful texture, patina and crackle

and I

- Claudia -

went once more for some of my favourite craft parts, vintage portraits and background techniques (using DecoArt media products)

to create this plaque with three handsome "moustache gentlemen"

For more information and images, please, visit the team's blogs by clicking on their names and if you can spare a second or two, please, leave them a little love so they know their hard work is appreciated! Thank you so much!

This bundle of steampunk inspiration should get you going I guess ;)
We hope to see you play along with us this month and cannot wait what it is that you will come up with this time!

Hugs and happy steampunk crafting!

Sandee and Amelie's May Steampunk Challenge

Hello and welcome friends, to our little corner of the Steampunk Universe! Maura here, wearing my co-host top hat.  We love having you here, playing along with us in a mixed media, steampunk and industrial style! The entire team is sharing their creative makes at the beginning of each month which will give you lots of inspiration to get started.

Our May challenge is, as usual...

 Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

We welcome all types of projects (except digitally created) and encourage everyone, from beginner to  experienced to join us every month and share your creations. Show us your tags, cards, canvas, art journal, altered objects...whatever you can imagine that fits our theme of steampunk/industrial. We truly are in awe of the imagination and creativity of you, our players, and look forward each challenge to see where your creative muse took you!

Many thanks to our wonderful and generous sponsors,

DecoArt

 and boozybear

for keeping the gears and cogs turning here at SASPC!

At the end of each challenge, two winners are randomly selected from all proper entries (be sure to check out our posted rules) and will either get an awesome DecoArt Media prize package, or an amazing chipboard package.  Please make sure if you are posting from a  social media platform like Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest that your settings allow us to comment and see your work.

Now...on to the awesome makes from our wonderful team!

Zoja

made a trio of tags featuring insects.

Hmm, would you rather see these critters at night, or during the day? I think they might take you by surprise at any time!

Instead of sharing her own project this month,

Claudia

is sharing some fabulously steampunked Easter Eggs that the lovely Kerstin sent her as a surprise...

along with this beautiful face with such delicate features and texture. What a wonderful surprise for Claudia!

Susan

created this wonderful tin man with his heart in a box, and gorgeously rusty gears on a tag. Is anyone else thinking of the Wizard of Oz right now?

Brigitte

does amazing things with cardboard, paint, die cuts and images turning them into an art square with an Artist Trading Coin!

Kerstin

has such a talented hand with black and white and shades of gray.

Here is her acrylic pouring

"FLY"

with some gorgeous steampunk detail.

meanwhile,

Maura

is looking to the past with her visions of what the steampunk world may have been like with a duo of Artist Trading Cards.

Thanks for stopping by our little corner of the Steampunk Universe. We hope to see you playing along with us this month in our steampunk/industrial challenge which is open until the end of May. Remember, we will have two prize draws and choose the design team's Top 5!

Top 5 for April and prize winners will be posted on May 15th,  so be sure to pop back to check that out.
