A hearty welcome to SanDee&amelie's challenge blog!

Please, note, that this challenge blog is not related to any business and run without any profit by people, who do this for your and their own leisure time fun! Our only reward are your encouraging comments and your playing along and sharing steampunk fun and mixed media techniques. We appreciate every single entry and comment so much! Thank you for taking the time!

If you are new to this place, please, know that we are so glad that you stopped by our little steampunk corner!
Whether you are a dedicated tag or card maker, art journaler or mixed media lover - this might be the right place for you!
For more information about the rules and the little "steampunk/industrial twist" we ask of you, please check the "about" stuff and then simply jump in and create!

If you are new to steampunk and not sure if this is "your thing", maybe take a look at our winners gallery on pinterest (use the linking button on our side bar). You will find that we're mainly a mixed media challenge blog with a little twist towards steampunk, industrial and/or vintage. So why not give it a try?

We are looking forward to seeing your fab projects entered to one of our challenges soon!

Hugs,
SanDee&amelie&the SASPC team

SanDee&amelie's Steampunk Winter Special Challenge 2019

Hi, servus and welcome to the start of our annual two months long steampunk and industrial style challenge for November and December, dear SASPC friends!

The idea behind doing a single challenge that starts now and will be open until the end of December is to give you enough time to still squeeze one or the other little steampunk or industrial style project in between your Christmas crafting and preparations. We all know how quickly four weeks can pass by....even when you have planned to do a little project besides the X-mas themed ones...so giving you eight weeks time makes things a lot easier and more relaxed, right?

We will have a post on 1st December though...to remind you of our running challenge and with additional inspirational content as well as some information on slight changes for 2019...and of course there's the announcement post of our October Top 5 and prize winners to come on 15th November, too....so stay tuned!

Our challenge theme for November and December is the usual

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

and of course a project that combines X-mas with steampunk or industrial style is more than welcome too ;)
And as it is a two months long challenge you are allowed to enter up to five projects instead of just the usual three!

Let's kick off today's round of inspirational projects with

who might just have the perfect idea for a self made X-mas present in steampunk style for you...

...this awesome and cosy felt cuff, embellished with gears die cut from felt as well!

I love this idea...and the brown buttons to close the cuff, too!
(Can you guess where the "steam" half of the word steampunk went? giggle)

inspires us with this amazing mixed media project:
Artist Trading Coins on a Line!

Just look at all the amazing texture and the rusty tones!!

(who knows about my love for creepy crawlies)
has made me happy with her
"Passion" tag

Looks like a rusty cockroach, doesn't it?
And it even shows the time! ;)

has a fascination for time machines and the idea of time travel, so her project is a tribute to Dr. Who and the TARDIS.

Zoja

already went into Christmas mode and created this gorgeous and festive steampunk star ornament

I am sure it will look just beautiful on her Christmas tree!!!

I

went into a totally different direction and came up with something really colourful this time.

A Wrapped Journal might make a wonderful Christmas present...(but maybe I will give it to myself, as I really like how the cover turned out...lol).

As always there are two give-away-s to be won by two randomly drawn players - one is this cool bundle of DecoArt media goodness

and is being donated by DecoArt media, one of our two generous prize sponsors.

The other is an amazing steampunk chipboard surprise package designed and donated by lovely Glenda aka boozybear!

Remember - for our winter special challenge your chances to win one of these rise from three to five possible entries! So don't miss your chance and play along! ;)

Hugs and happy steampunk (and of course Christmas) crafting!
