A hearty welcome to SanDee&amelie's challenge blog!

Please, note, that this challenge blog is not related to any business and run without any profit by people, who do this for your and their own leisure time fun! Our only reward are your encouraging comments and your playing along and sharing steampunk fun and mixed media techniques. We appreciate every single entry and comment so much! Thank you for taking the time!

If you are new to this place, please, know that we are so glad that you stopped by our little steampunk corner!
Whether you are a dedicated tag or card maker, art journaler or mixed media lover - this might be the right place for you!
For more information about the rules and the little "steampunk/industrial twist" we ask of you, please check the "about" stuff and then simply jump in and create!

If you are new to steampunk and not sure if this is "your thing", maybe take a look at our winners gallery on pinterest (use the linking button on our side bar). You will find that we're mainly a mixed media challenge blog with a little twist towards steampunk, industrial and/or vintage. So why not give it a try?

We are looking forward to seeing your fab projects entered to one of our challenges soon!

Hugs,
SanDee&amelie&the SASPC team

SASPC March 2019 Top 5 and Prize Winners

Hi, servus and welcome to our monthly announcement of the Top 5 and prize winners from the previous month's challenge!

As always we were blown away by your creativity and the imagination of all the projects entered! Sadly we had to exclude some makes from the Top votes and prize draws as they had no back link to our challenge blog (which is one of our few rules we have to insist in being followed).
To make your entry a proper one, - besides some other rules - it has to have a back link to our challenge blog somewhere in your write up. If it is a project entered via Instagram, it does not even have to be an active link, but it has to be there so it can be copied and pasted by someone who wants to get to our challenge blog.

Also let me remind you of our actual challenge that is live and running (until the end of the month as always) and we hope to see you play along again (or also for the very first time of course..) ;)

As usual we are giving away one prize bundle consisting of a large pack of DecoArt premium acrylic paints and media - generously donated by DecoArt - and one surprise package of delicately unique and cool steampunk chipboard pieces from lovely Glenda aka boozybear!

And a load of DecoArt premium goodness goes to

#17 - Águeda

while the boozybear chippies go to

#18 - Cathy

Yay! Huge congrats on your prize wins, ladies! Please, contact me under the email address given in the side bar so I can have your goodies be sent over to your place. DecoArt prize winners, please, also add a phone number to your shipping info. Thanks so much for playing along!

Let's move on to...

The March Top 5

- as always presented in no particular order -

And these are:

and

Wow! Congrats, ladies! So well done and truly deserved! Thank you so much for sharing your fantastic makes with us! Please, feel free to grab the Top 5 badge (either from the top of this post or from our side bar) for display on your blogs. xxx

The actual challenge, which you can find HERE, is awaiting your entries for still two more weeks. As always the team and I can't wait to see where your imagination will take you (and us). We also hope to see you visit us again on 1st May, when we will be kicking off the May challenge. ;)

Hugs and happy steampunk crafting!

SanDee&amelie's April 2019 Steampunk Challenge

Hi, servus and welcome to the start of our April challenge, dear steampunk and industrial style friends!

March has seen the most fantastic entries and I am sure April will, too! The team have once more come up with some fantastic projects for your inspiration as well of course and the theme is - as always -

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

and makes of all kinds (except ones that are completely digital makes) are more than welcome. So show us your tags, scrapbook or art journal pages, your altered objects, crocheted goggles, paper craft projects and whatever else can be created by hand and with the use of stamps, paints, inks and all the other goodness of mixed media that is out there. ;)

The Top5 and prize winners from the March challenge will be announced on the 15th - so don't forget to visit our blog again and check if you have won or made our Top5. As always we will pick two winners (randomly among all proper entries) who will win one of the two fab prize bundles we offer (thanks to our generous sponsors DecoArt and boozybear!).

If you enter our challenge via Instagram or facebook, please, make sure your privacy settings are switched to public, so my team can see and leave a comment on your makes. Not all on my design team (and all our players) have accounts on each of these platforms and often find they cannot even see your makes (and also not comment) - which is a shame. And of course we cannot include in our Top5 or prize draws what we cannot see.

The challenge is open until the end of the month and all the other (few) challenge rules can be found at the top of our challenge blog page - right below the header.

But now on to the design team projects...which I really couldn't wait to show you as they're all fantastic (well, they always are....right?)

created a magical mixed media cover
for an art journal book

Love the corrugated card and the deep blue
and how it makes the golden accents pop

imagined what the control panel of an airship might look like
after years of use

Just look at this rusty goodness!

wows us with a beautiful assemblage piece
that she titled "The Open Door"

also used corrugated card on her make this time
and went for the same colour scheme as Kerstin...
but with a totally different result (though equally beautiful)

altered a sketchbook cover
and turned it into this beauty:

and I

Claudia -

created a tiny tag album
on which I combined various DecoArt paints and products,
boozybear chipboard pieces and Calico Craft Parts

You know I love to work on very small formats, but I still always am amazed myself by how much mixed media goodness can be put on these...

If you would like to see or learn more about the projects and the how-to, simply click on the design team's names to get to their blogs. And if you take a sec to leave a short comment there, that will be much appreciated!

Haven't promised too much, have I?
Honestly this design team makes me so proud! And so do all the fantastic entries we get each month! You all rock!

Can't wait to see what you will surprise us with next! ;)

Hugs and happy crafting!
