A hearty welcome to SanDee&amelie's challenge blog!

Please, note, that this challenge blog is not related to any business and run without any profit by people, who do this for your and their own leisure time fun! Our only reward are your encouraging comments and your playing along and sharing steampunk fun and mixed media techniques. We appreciate every single entry and comment so much! Thank you for taking the time!

If you are new to this place, please, know that we are so glad that you stopped by our little steampunk corner!
Whether you are a dedicated tag or card maker, art journaler or mixed media lover - this might be the right place for you!
For more information about the rules and the little "steampunk/industrial twist" we ask of you, please check the "about" stuff and then simply jump in and create!

If you are new to steampunk and not sure if this is "your thing", maybe take a look at our winners gallery on pinterest (use the linking button on our side bar). You will find that we're mainly a mixed media challenge blog with a little twist towards steampunk, industrial and/or vintage. So why not give it a try?

We are looking forward to seeing your fab projects entered to one of our challenges soon!

Hugs,

SanDee&amelie's June 2019 Top 5 and Prize Winners

Hi, servus and welcome to our announcement of the Top 5 and prize winners from our June challenge, dear steampunk and industrial style friends!

I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer! Over here (at Lake Atter, in Austria's beautiful Salzkammergut) it has been raining for the last two days - which actually is quite welcome as our goal was to flee the city heat of Vienna and find a bit of refreshment. ;)

As always on the fifteenth t's time to announce our Top 5 from the June challenge and also the two lucky persons whom random.org has picked as our prize winners. So let's start with the latter....

The awesome DecoArt premium prize bundle

goes to

entry #16 - Lisa Andersson

and a surprise package of cool steampunk chippies from Glenda aka boozybear

goes to

entry #26 - Magdalena
from Magdalena's Attic

Congrats, ladies, on your prize wins and thank you so much for playing along and sharing your awesome projects with us. Please, contact me under the email address given in the side bar, so I can have your prizes sent to you asap. There are four weeks time after the announcement to claim your prizes. I hope to hear from you soon. ;)

And a huge THANK YOU to our generous prize sponsors, of course! xxx

And now on to the June

Top 5

, which were - as always - hard to pick, as we loved all the projects entered. There were two entries that got the fifth-most votes, so we have a Top 6 this time. As always, these are presented in no particular order.

who entered this amazing steampunk card

who created this utterly imaginative project
that she titled "Reclaimed"

who blew us away with this fantastic mini album

who made this beautiful steampunk card

Oh, wow! Thank you so much, ladies, for sharing all these beauties with us and huge congrats on making our Top 5 this month! Please, feel free to grab the Top 5 badge for display on your blogs.

SanDee&amelie's 2019 Steampunk Summer Special Challenge

Hi, servus and welcome to our annual summer special challenge, dear steampunk and industrial style friends!

As always we are having a two months long challenge that starts today and ends on 31st August, so you can all enjoy the summer and have a good time outdoors and yet still (hopefully) also find the time (on one or the other rainy day) to craft a steampunk or industrial style project to share with us over here on SanDee&amelie's Steampunk Challenges!

As this is a two months long challenge you are allowed to enter up to five projects instead of the usual three - this means two more chances to win one of the two fab prizes being donated by our wonderful sponsors DecoArt and boozybear!

Of course we can only include proper entries with our prize draws and top votes, so, please, make sure to check our few challenge rules (these can be found under "Da Rules" at the top of our blog, right below the header).

My wonderful team have once more shown amazing imagination and have invested a lot of love and labour to create some awesomely inspiring projects for you (and I can't wait to see what you will amaze us with too during July and August)!

I really would appreciate it if you took some seconds to visit their blogs and leave them a little love there. You get to their blogs by clicking on their names. Thank you!

"Doesn't everyone want a Borg Beetle Portfolio, after all, summer is sure bug season around here!?
I'm using a kraft portfolio that I've altered with steampunk paper and stencil and DecoArt Media. I incorporated previous work into this project, and used it to hold more.

The wonderful beetle's details were painted using DecoArt media fluid acrylic paints.

altered a wooden Home decoration piece
and turned it into really cool steampunk goodness

I always love it when she uses real electronic parts on her makes:

tag celebrates wanderlust -
and summer is the perfect time to give in to it, isn't it?

wows us with a new photo album in industrial grunge style

I love that weathered look on those planks she has created!
And the inside of the cover is awesome too!

used a beautiful vintage airship image on her
"Inspiration Board with Airship"

and I

have chosen an Artist Trading Block (ATB) as my format to work on
and created a "Time Machine ATB" using loads of MDF craft parts and
DecoArt media products and paints.

Hmmm...what special date could that be?
Where - no! When would you like to travel to if you could travel through time?

Loads of yummy texture and stencilled goodness!
As always there's a detailed tutorial and lots of pictures over at my blog!

More information and pictures of the finished projects can be found on the design team's blogs as always.

We hope this bundle of inspiration has put you in the perfect creative mood for some steampunk or industrial style fun! We would love to see you join in our summer special challenge! And don't forget to visit us here again on 15th July, when we will announce our June Top5 and prize winners! ;)

The team and I wish you all
happy holidays!
