A hearty welcome to SanDee&amelie's challenge blog!

Please, note, that this challenge blog is not related to any business and run without any profit by people, who do this for your and their own leisure time fun! Our only reward are your encouraging comments and your playing along and sharing steampunk fun and mixed media techniques. We appreciate every single entry and comment so much! Thank you for taking the time!

If you are new to this place, please, know that we are so glad that you stopped by our little steampunk corner!
Whether you are a dedicated tag or card maker, art journaler or mixed media lover - this might be the right place for you!
For more information about the rules and the little "steampunk/industrial twist" we ask of you, please check the "about" stuff and then simply jump in and create!

If you are new to steampunk and not sure if this is "your thing", maybe take a look at our winners gallery on pinterest (use the linking button on our side bar). You will find that we're mainly a mixed media challenge blog with a little twist towards steampunk, industrial and/or vintage. So why not give it a try?

We are looking forward to seeing your fab projects entered to one of our challenges soon!

Hugs,

Extending SanDee&amelie's March 2020 Challenge due to Covid 19

Hi, servus and welcome to a special challenge post announcement in very special times. I hope you and your loved ones are all well and safe and coping well with isolation and all the other (necessary) new rules and circumstances that have been turning everyday life into unknown territory for all of us these days.

Due to a lot of services and businesses (including both our sponsors) being forced to "take a break" right now to keep their employees safe and to help slow down and minimising the spreading of Covid 19 we have decided to not take a break actually but instead turn our actual March challenge into a two-months long challenge (like we usually do with our summer and winter specials). We hope that by the start of May things will slowly start to get back to normal and then we will also know more so we can decide on how to carry on. But carry on we will - especially as creating is such a good means to escape reality for some time and especially a good way to practice mindfulness which has become even more important these days!

So here's the plan so far: the March challenge stays open until the end of April and as this turns our challenge into a two-months long one we will this time accept six instead of the usual three entries per player. And by May 15th we hope to be able to announce the Top5 and prize winners as usual again. So keep creating and sharing your steampunk and industrial style makes with us! Let's all share inspiration and help keep up our spirits.

Lovely

is sharing a new awesome project for your inspiration today
which you can check out in more detail on her blog HERE

Isn't is awesome how Kerstin has kind of "sculpted" a self made steampunk texture plate she created using a soft mold around a glass bottle?!
Looking at her fantastic project really makes me want to try this out myself (even though - or especially though - I am not good at working with molds)!
I really admire her skill, imagination and talent! And look at the yummy texture and the beautiful rusty look!

...and of course it is also always a good thing to check out the makes that have already been entered to the challenge by our players so far. And - more important than ever - please, take a moment to leave a little love on the peoples' blogs and sites you're visiting - this way you will definitely put smiles on peoples faces. Urgently needed smiles, right?! ;)

You can either scroll to the previous challenge post (if you haven't checked out the design team's makes for the March challenge) or just use the collection at the bottom of this post here (as I have just added it to this post as well).

Hang in there and remember to keep creating to practice mindfulness!
Wishing you and your loved ones all the best!
Stay safe!
