A hearty welcome to SanDee&amelie's challenge blog!

Please, note, that this challenge blog is not related to any business and run without any profit by people, who do this for your and their own leisure time fun! Our only reward are your encouraging comments and your playing along and sharing steampunk fun and mixed media techniques. We appreciate every single entry and comment so much! Thank you for taking the time!

If you are new to this place, please, know that we are so glad that you stopped by our little steampunk corner!
Whether you are a dedicated tag or card maker, art journaler or mixed media lover - this might be the right place for you!
For more information about the rules and the little "steampunk/industrial twist" we ask of you, please check the "about" stuff and then simply jump in and create!

If you are new to steampunk and not sure if this is "your thing", maybe take a look at our winners gallery on pinterest (use the linking button on our side bar). You will find that we're mainly a mixed media challenge blog with a little twist towards steampunk, industrial and/or vintage. So why not give it a try?

We are looking forward to seeing your fab projects entered to one of our challenges soon!

Steampunk Summer Bonus Challenge 2014

Servus, dear Steampunk friends!

As I promised, today sees the start of our Summer Special we decided to do for you! It will be an additional challenge (alongside our regular challenges) that will run for six long weeks - from today to midnight (Central European Time), August 31st!

Wonderful Agnieszka, owner of the fab Retro Kraft Shop and luckily one of my fab DT members too, created a moodboard for this challenge and is also giving away the most fantastic prize package to one lucky winner (whom we will draw randomly from the entries of this challenge after August 31st)!

So - what do you need to do to become eligible to win a load of wonderful vintage steampunk goodness? You have to enter a Steampunk creation to the inlinkz collection you find at the bottom of this page that is inspired by this mood board:

It is kind of an "anything goes" challenge - but you have to use the colours (some of them or all of them - that depends on you) and/or the elements from the photograph to create a STEAMPUNK make!

And THIS is what you can win:

Oh dear - look at that! I didn't promise too much, did I?

To give you a bit of a hint or starting point for your own makes, the DT have come up with a lovely collection of wonderfully individual approaches to this challenge! :

an art square (20 cm x 20 cm)
acrylique paint, frame is a die cut with my machine
everything is carboard glued, painted

For the Summer Bonus Challenge I have made this ATC, which I hope will inspire you.
See more details on  Summer ATC  Wish you a nice summer.

To interpret the moodboard, I decided to use the layout and textures from the photo. I created a canvas with a smooth golden finish on the left and lots of gears with faux rust on the right. You can learn more about the materials I used on my blog.

Travel - Better late than never

whether it is the long dreamed vacation or travel to yourself,
discover a new world and tell us about it in a new steampunk project!!

LOL...my husband saw this and said if this really was the key to my heart he would not bring me flowers anymore. Well - honestly: if he gave me rusted objects instead he couldn't make me happier... ;)

Good luck, happy crafting and have a wonderful holiday!
Claudia, Agnieszka and the rest of the SASPC-Team!
