MCESP - "Merry Christmas Extra Steam Power" by Kerstin

Servus and welcome to our little Christmas surprise Kerstin has prepared for you!

Our actual December challenge is in full swing and you still have time to play along until the end of December - if you need a bit of inspirational input, just check out the challenge post HERE.

But enough of the ordinary challenge talk - let's raise the curtains for Kerstin and Mister Coolman!

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen! Kerstin here to share the last post for this year over here on SanDee&amelie's Steampunk Challenges!

The year of 2016 is almost over and Christmas is fast approaching! As always there is a colourful hustle and bustle as well as calmness and reflectiveness and we also love to look back on the year - the right time to say

to our hard working
and reliable big boss,

our two generous sponsors,

my talented teamies
our faithful followers!!!

Mr. Coolman - the one and only ;) - is here to wish you a merry and bright Christmas and a happy new year:

"Hi, I am Mister Coolman! I started out as a styrofoam shape...

...and then Kerstin took away my hat to paint it black. Luckily it was glued back on - imagine how I would have looked without a hat!!! ME!!!!

Then I was painted with the products shown below...

...and given a tie, two snap fasteneres as eyes, a nose made from an old clockwork and a fancy moustache (that once was a pin).

Before I got my arms and some other embellishments, Mistress Kerstin let it snow (using DecoArt SnowTex) because after all deep within I am a true snowman, right?

My arms were made from gears and cogs from an old taken apart clockwork - of course these had to be artificially rusted to match my cool steampunk outfit and as always that worked pretty well with the fab DecoArt media paints!

And so I could be enlightened now and then I also got a lightbulb from old Christmas tree fairy lights. I even got wired so it can be lit!!!!

A splendid dorsal view,
can be delightful, too. ;)

That's it so far about my making. If you want to learn more about it or my maker, click here. "

May the spirit of the season bring you happiness and joy!

Merry Christmas and warmest wishes
from me and the whole DT!

  1. Right now I imagine Mister Coolman sitting on your window sill and wearing his top hat with the light on, Kerstin! He is such a charming guy to have as Christmas decoration and so unique! Love him to bits! Thank you so much for sharing some of his magic with us over here!

Hugs and wishes and merry Christmas to you, my friend!
