Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial
themed one. We will also be announcing the Top5 and prize winners from our March challenge, but before I do so, I would like to invite you to also check out the makes of Team A (if you haven't done so already) after you have read this post and taken a look at the wonderful projects of my lovely ladies from Team B! And if you can spare a second, please, visit their blogs and leave them a short comment to let them know that their work is appreciated. You will also find more images and sometimes info on the how-tos on my teamies' blogs - so that's well worth a visit, isn't it?
The challenge is open until the end of the month and by playing along (and following our few simple rules) you become eligible for winning one of our two monthly prizes, being sponsored by
and
.
I use random.org to pick our two winners among all proper entries and the team and I pick our favourite makes from each challenge in a ranked voting (which is mostly a love-hate thingie for us, as we love all your projects, but we also know that a bit of a stimulus like that makes challenges more interesting to many).
is kicking off this second round up
with a lovely rusted looking canvas she created
using DecoArt media and boozybear products
started imagining that the Steampunk Universe might have come through a time rift....
...and I think she may have a point there. Looks pretty reasonable to me!
latest project is called
"Change of Times"
- two Artist Trading Blocks she has altered using
a faux rust technique alongside a lot of other
highly textural mixed media techniques to create
a "wild mix of colours, textures and patterns"
and last but not least my project
for your inspiration:
As you can see I am still into ATCs - but how can I quit doing them when there are so many great ATC blanks (like this one from Calico Craft Parts) out there, waiting for me to be used alongside some beautiful vintage ephemera?
And with the help of a few DecoArt media products and paints turning these into rusty goodness is so much fun and so easy! "Dem Ingenieur ist nichts zu schwör", as we like to say in German (=there's nothing the engineer can't do). ;) . So check out my short tutorial on my blog (and don'r forget to visit my teamies' blogs as well for more information on their beautiful projects!).
