Boozybear Special - Part VII

Hi, servus and welcome to part VII of our boozybear sponsor special feature!

We thought it was about time to give Glenda - the designer and owner of the boozybear etsy shop  - and her fab steampunk chipboard pieces the attention they deserve and we will be doing so by showing steampunk/industrial style projects done by my wonderful DT - each using the same boozybear parts but in totally different projects and ways of using them so you can see how versatile these are and maybe also grab a little inspiration here and there for your own projects.

So throughout the next months you will find extra project posts over here - each done by one of my talented DT ladies and I am so happy to have the opportunity to not only show Glenda's amazing chipboard designs but also let my DT each have the stage to herself. (to make it easier for you to compare the projects I will add links to the previously posted boozybear projects to every new project post.) I find the idea thrilling to see how differently the same chipboard pieces can be approached. I hope you do too. ;)

*Here's the link list to previous boozybear projects done by the DT:

Boozybear Special I
Boozybear Special II
Boozybear Special III
Boozybear Special IV
Boozybear Special V
Boozybear Special VI

Today it's time for Dee to share her final make as a member on our design team.  And once again she has outdone herself! We will miss her and her amazing art and we wish her all the best for her future creative endeavours!

***

Hi everyone I hope you are well I have my piece using the lovely shapes that we
were given from Boozy Bear I hope you enjoy reading how I did it as much
as I did making the tags.

This is a photo of the shapes that were sent to me and the other members of the DT
we were all asked to make a piece and look at all the different results.

I also used a couple of other Boozy bear pieces that I had in my stash,
they were the picture frame and i cut up a couple of the pieces
to fit in with what i was trying to achieve.

So above I cut the hands off with the flourishes as you will see further on.

I started with the wings i put black modelling paste through a stencil
then used a texture comb and ran it up and down the
wings so it gave them ridges.

I triple embossed the piece that I had cut the hands off with chunky embossing powders from Stampendous.

While still hot I pushed a cog stamp from stampendous
into the hot powder. Once cool I used Deco Art patina
antiquing cream and left to dry.

I prepared all three tags by using the following process.
Deco Arts Media black modelling paste was put through
a verity of stencils. Different stencils were used on
each tag.

Once the modelling paste was dry I used black gesso followed by black
media fluid Acrylic as it gives a different surface to the gesso.
This was followed by white then patina antiquing cream.

I embossed the clock and sprinkled some teal over to give it a patina effect.
Below you can see I cut the small clock off a bigger piece and
gold embossed it.

Tag 1 was collated together and finished off with building wax
and coloured gauze.

Same for tag 2 I added a glass embellishment to the base of the tag.

Also the same for tag 3 I used the embossed clock and the photo frame
from Boozy bear the frame was painted with Deco art crackle paint and
coloured with washes of fluid acrylic.

I hope you have all enjoyed my post and will be desperate to try these
amazing chipboard shapes as they are so versatile and you can
customise them if you so wish.
Cheers Dee x

Today it's time for Zoja to share this amazing painting in which she used the fab boozybear chippies so beautifully. Enjoy!

***

 Hi! Zoja here today.

I want to show you my latest work, different form others I've shown here. Today it's an A3 size, gesso primed canvas.

I refreshed my friendship with drawing and graphics. In this painting I have worked with the gift from Boozybear and used drawing ink, acrylic paint, watercolour crayon, pen and gelato.

I used Boozybear's cogs and elements to embellish the painted character.

I painted the chipboards with Media Fluid Acrylics from DecoArt in colours:
 Quinacridone Magenta and Primary Magenta

And this is set of chipboards I received:

I hope you like it and wish you great joy with your creative projects.
 Hugs, Zoja

Today it's time for Susan to share her highly textural beautiful boozybear feature project. Enjoy!

Hands, Cogs and Rubies

From our sponsor boozybear, I have got these amazing chipboards and they are very well suited for a steampunk project.

I have used 20x20 canvasboard. On it, I have cracklepaint, sandpaste, glassbeads texture gel and heavy paste, while it was wet, I dripped my acrylic colors.

All my chipboards have got a lot of rusty paste, black acrylic color and mica wax. At last they were decorated with some rubies.

Some details:

I wish you great joy with your creative projects.
Hugs, Susan

I hope you have enjoyed this inspiration as much as I have! If you haven't checked out the other boozybear feature projects (see link list in the introduction of this post) or the DT makes for our November-December challenge, I highly recommend you do so!

On Saturday  the Top5 and prize winners from the October challenge will be announced - another good reason to stop by! And of course we would love to see you play along in November and December with our usual two-months long winter special challenge

SanDee&amelie's 2017 Steampunk Winter Special Challenge

Hi, servus and welcome to part one of our annual "winter special" challenge!

As always we will be doing a two months long challenge that will start from today and be open until the end of December. We are doing this so you and my DT can all focus on Christmas and Advent crafting and preparations and still find the time to play along with us. And as this is going to be a two months long challenge, the usual limit of three entries per player will be changed to five entries per player (just in case someone has a real steampunk/industrial crafting urge ;)

Team A are sharing their projects with you today and team B will be sharing theirs on the 1st of December (so you will not only get additional inspiration but also have a reminder to play along). There will also be some more "boozybear special" feature posts on here during the next two months. So stay tuned! ;)

I have also decided to add a little prize (donated by myself) to the two prize bundles from our generous challenge sponsors DecoArt media and boozybear chipboard pieces - so you can become one of three prize winners this time! As always they will be drawn randomly among all proper entries from our winter special challenge and announced shortly after the start of our January challenge.

My prize will be a little surprise...and also a surprise is the steampunk chipboard package from lovely Glenda aka boozybear...

...and there's this fab bundle of DecoArt media goodies to be won as well:

Definitely worth playing along, aren't they?

***

But now it's time for the makes of my wonderful ladies from Team A! Yay!

created an altered box in an altered frame

I love all the parts she has used to create her assemblage in the box lid!

used Modelling Paste, DecoArt media products and her magic to create this
amazing artwork

Incredible, isn't it?

is sending out "a little Christmas greeting" with her beautifully textured project
"to all steampunk lovers"

has created this amazing altered box for you
that she calls
"boite à heure"
("hour box")

and last but not least

who is sharing with you her
"inspirational board in blues and gold"

Loads of inspiration to get your mojo going, right?
So we hope you will find some time to create some steampunk or industrial style projects in between Christmas crafting and play along!

Once more: our challenge is open until the end of December this time (and there will be a little additional surprise prize for one lucky winner)! A propos: our prize winners and Top 5 from the October challenge will be announced on Saturday, November 11th!!! And another boozybear special is to come soon too.

In the meantime:
hugs and happy crafting!
