A hearty welcome to SanDee&amelie's challenge blog!

Please, note, that this challenge blog is not related to any business and run without any profit by people, who do this for your and their own leisure time fun! Our only reward are your encouraging comments and your playing along and sharing steampunk fun and mixed media techniques. We appreciate every single entry and comment so much! Thank you for taking the time!

If you are new to this place, please, know that we are so glad that you stopped by our little steampunk corner!
Whether you are a dedicated tag or card maker, art journaler or mixed media lover - this might be the right place for you!
For more information about the rules and the little "steampunk/industrial twist" we ask of you, please check the "about" stuff and then simply jump in and create!

If you are new to steampunk and not sure if this is "your thing", maybe take a look at our winners gallery on pinterest (use the linking button on our side bar). You will find that we're mainly a mixed media challenge blog with a little twist towards steampunk, industrial and/or vintage. So why not give it a try?

We are looking forward to seeing your fab projects entered to one of our challenges soon!

October Mid Month Inspiration, Some Spotlgihts and a Prize Sponsor

Servus and a warm welcome to all the Steampunk lovers out there!

It's time for our mid month inspirations bundle and the announcement of this month's prize sponsor and it is

So don't miss the chance to win some Tando goodness by entering a project to our actual challenge "Steampunk Couture" which is still open until the end of the month. The winner will - as always - be picked randomly among all the (proper) entries from the 2D and 3D collections.

My wonderful design team have created some more fab "steampunk couture" projects for your inspiration, but I thought I'd also shine some spotlights on some of the wonderful entries from our last challenges (as I have to admit that I have been very negligent with this during the last months. Sorry for that).

But first to my wonderful teamies' creations:

The 'Rebuilder of Gowns' establishment got itself an extended version of their advertisement in the form of an ATC with a skirt rebuilt steampunk couture-style. :)

and yet a top hat, also for me the most beautiful Assecoire of the steampunk couture. The result is a mixed media collage using stencils and stamps.

This 'Couture Creation' used a mannequin that had been started as another project over 18 months ago...it didn't 'work' then and I discarded it in favour of another idea. The mannequin sat in the scraps bin for all this time and was brought back to life to be a steampunk creation here.

And now on to the promised spotlights (and I promise I will try to do them more regularly again from now on!):

lovely art journal spread

beautiful vintage creation

brilliant card

Well done, ladies! We really loved your creations and are happy that you shared them with us! Please, feel free to grab the spotlight badge for display on your blogs! xxx

So if you want to join in - HERE is the link to the actual challenge (or just click the button on top of the side bar)! We would love to see you play along with us!

Hugs and happy crafting,

You all entered such fabulous creations to our "Steampunk Stories" challenge and the team and I enjoyed visiting your blogs and learning about the stories behind your creations so much! Choosing was hard - as always - but we managed to narrow the projects down to three favourites for each collection and here they come (in order of their appearance in the collections):

Yay! Huge congrats, ladies! We loved to see all the love, labour and imagination you put into these smackin' projects! Please, feel free to grab the badge for display on your blogs!

Steampunk Couture - the October Challenge

Hello, servus and welcome back, dear Steampunk friends!

Time to start the challenge for October, isn't it?
But first the whole team want to thank you all (once more) for all the brilliant and amazing artwork you share with us so constantly! Choosing our Top3 is always such a hard choice and narrowing your entries down to three favourites is never easy. But we will do our job of course and announce the Top3 of the last challenge on Saturday, 11th. So make sure to check back then to find out if you made it to the top ;)

The challenge theme for this month is

Steampunk Couture

and it means that any kind of sewing themed, dress themed, fashion themed, couture themed Steampunk creation will fit in.

Team A have created some really beautiful projects for your inspiration. I recommend you visit their blogs (by clicking the names or the images) to find out more and have a closer look (and maybe even take the time to leave a short comment for my lovely and busy ladies ;).

An altered puzzle - the skirt is fabric with felt gears, some charms, ribbon... paint

This month it's time for catwalk and steampunk masquerade
pop over to my blog to see more details

When I think 'steampunk couture', I think 'top hats'. So I made one. :)
It's really tiny, To see just how tiny it is, hop over to my blog.

Well, that's what I call inspiration. Yay! ;)
Our challenge will be open until the end of the month and again we offer two separate collections for the 2D and the 3D makes you (hopefully) enter to our challenge (soon).

Our prize sponsor for this month's challenge will be revealed on October 15th - alongside an additional inspirations bundle from Team B. So don't miss that!

We hope to see you and your fab projects soon!

Hugs and happy crafting,

your SASPC-Team
