SASPC June 2018 Challenge

Hello and welcome friends, to our little corner of the Steampunk Universe! Maura here, wearing my new co-host top hat for the first time.

We love having you here, playing along with us in a mixed media, steampunk and industrial style! The entire team is sharing their creative makes at the beginning of each month from now on, which will give you lots of inspiration to get started.

Our June challenge is, as usual...

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

We welcome all types of projects (except digitally created) and encourage everyone, from beginner to  experienced to join us every month and share your creations. Show us your tags, cards, canvas, art journal, altered objects...whatever you can imagine that fits our theme of steampunk/industrial. We truly are in awe of the imagination and creativity of you, our players, and look forward each challenge to see where your creative muse took you!

Many thanks to our wonderful and generous sponsors, DecoArt and boozybear for keeping the gears and cogs turning here at SASPC!

At the end of each challenge, two winners are randomly selected from all proper entries (be sure to check out our posted rules) and will either get an awesome DecoArt Media prize package, or an amazing chipboard package.

Now...on to the awesome makes from our wonderful team!

Brigitte

...has created an delightful steampunk style baby mini album,
that is sure to become a family treasure!
How cool is that?

"Lights in the Workshop"

...made this wonderful tag,
using some awesome boozybear chipboard and framing it with burlap.

"Seahorse in a Frame"

...shares her talent at piecing together found objects in the most amazing ways.

Alexa

has closed her blog for awhile (therefore no link to her blog) but will still be sharing her amazing steampunk projects with us over here on our challenge blog.
For the June challenge she has created this awesome journal spread.

She has used several DecoArt media products and mixed media techniques to create the great background:

...made this fabulous wall hanging with cogs, added lots of intriguing embellishments and painted it with rose gold accents.

"teabag, wired"

4''x4''
teabag (with label), found objects, watch parts, rubber stamping, DecoArt media Misters, white Modeling Paste, white Crackle Paint and gloss Heavy Gel Medium
on canvas

"Can you spot the teabag with its thread and label?
It was the starting point for my mixed media canvas."
asks Claudia

...headed to the tropics for an island vibe to her steampunk ATC.

Thanks for stopping by our little corner of the Steampunk Universe. We hope to see you playing along with us this month in our steampunk/industrial challenge which is open until the end of June. Remember, we will have two prize draws and choose the design team's Top 5!

Top 5 for May and prize winners will be posted on June 15th,
so be sure to pop back to check that out.

Time to put your top hat on and get crafting with us!
Hugs, and happy crafting!
Maura & the SASPC Team
