Extra Steam Power - Altered Cog

Servus and welcome back to another "Extra Steam Power" post. DT member Brigitte from "La maison du coutureuse" has done one of her lovely altered cogs in steampunk style!

So I hope you will visit her blog where she shares some steps images (as well as a French tutorial) and enjoy watching her process!

**************

 (detail image)

1. Print a cog (find template on the net), cut out to use as a mask, draw on thick corrugated card.

2. Cut out the corrugated card, peel off some of the upper layer.
Paint black.

3. Add DecoArt Antiquing Cream Raw Umber and media fluid acrylic Cadmium orange.

Always let acrylic paints dry before next step.

4. Glue on some images and paper, add a photo.

5. Paint some circles randomly on the background and the papers using DecoArt fluid acrylic paints Paynes Grey and Titan Buff.

6. Add metal embellishments.

Add glossy varnish if you want.

Et voilà…...
