"Inventions&Inventors"
and it is totally up to you how you interpret the theme as long as you refer to the theme in a way and there is a visible Steampunk twist to your creations (and they follow our (few) challenge rules of course)!
As always team A has come up with a bundle of wonderful inspiration for you, but first we would like to share with you the make of this month's guest designer, Keren from Altered Ego!
She writes:
"
A bit about me -
I’m
Keren, and I’ve been crafty all my life - I can’t remember a time when I
wasn’t making things. I started with embroidery and knitting and went
on from there. I was a primary school teacher for a number of years and
loved teaching art & craft and devising eye-catching wall displays –
my masterpiece was a 3D Jabberwock based on a plastic bottle and paper
cups! I was delighted to be asked to guest design this month’s piece
I’m
also a conduit for Lady Ermintrude Dyffryn–Felix in all matters
Steampunk. Lady E has commissioned an Aetheric Speaking Tube to allow
her to keep in touch with her husband, Major Sir Thomas Felix. So here
it is!"
This is soooo brilliant! Who wouldn't love to have an Aetheric Speaking Tube like this one? Well - I definitely need one after seeing this fabulous creation! Thank you so much, Keren, for sharing this imaginative and wonderful make with us! xxx

Team A have also created a fireworks of inspiration for you! Check this out:
Sorry I've lost directions for use....
It's an invention, very special with wood wheel (thank you Cecile), with light bulbs (thank you Poppy),
with stuff from trash can (thank you Françoise), with stuff from my DH's workshop (thank you Love).

Here is my suggestion for Inventions & inventor challenge. I think that Robert Fulton is an interesting inventor and he has made many, for me stunning, inventions such as the first submarine already in 1800 for the French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. In USA he is the first that make steamboat company profitable in 1807.
Getting down to work on this month's project I immediately thought of this Tim Holtz stamp of a man wearing a bird cage hat. I imagined the man to be an inventor who is very fond of his pet canary, so he invents a method to let him always have his little friend around. That's how this funny ATC came to be. :)

I think these incredible makes definitely show the endless possibilities of what to create for this month's challenge theme! Be it a 3D creation or a fab stamped ATC, card, tag,...there are no limits! Make sure to come back on the 15th of July to see what Team B have in store for you to fuel your imagination and creativity!
Top3 and prize winner from the June challenge will be announced next Saturday!
To get eligible to win our monthly prize donated by one of our generous fab sponsors simply enter an appropriate project to our challenge! The inlinkz collection for the 2D and 3D makes can be found at the bottom of this post! Have fun and enjoy a bit of Steampunk time! (As inlinkz is having serious hickups right now while I am writing up this post, you will only find ONE collection for ALL makes this time - but we will of course do separate votings for 2D and 3D makes!
Hugs and happy crafting from the SASPC-Team!

ReplyDeleteHow do I post in the 3D section? Under Enter Your Projects Here is says:InventorsandInvention 2D&3D put I can't click on another link.......
ReplyDeleteThe "Inventions&Inventors 2D&3D" collections title means that you can enter both - 2D and 3D makes - with the same collection (which you did anyway - so everything's fine). As explained in the post we only have one collection for all makes this time (due to inlinkz having had a lot of hickups when I prepared the collections for this challenge). Thank you for joining in! x
DeleteGood theme and great takes on it DT!
