SanDee&amelie's Steampunk Winter Special 2020

Yay, hooray, drumroll and ta-dah! Let the team and me welcome you to our annual Winter Special Challenge!!!

Those who have been playing along with us for a while by now, already know that we do a two months long challenge in November and December each year - simply because that allows our players and the team to indulge in advent and Christmas crafting and preparations with (hopefully) still a little time to squeeze in one or the other steampunk or industrial themed project.

The usual rules all apply (so, please, make sure you have checked these out) - with one little change: this once you are allowed to enter up to five projects instead of the usual three! Which means two more chances to win one of the two prize bundles being generously sponsored by DecoArt and boozybear chipboard. The two lucky winners will be drawn randomly among all proper entries and we will announce them on the 15th of the following month (in this case that means 15th January 2021) alongside our Top5.

The challenge theme is also the usual one -

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

meaning that we definitely want to see some steampunk or industrial style elements without having to search for them with a magnifying glass - but we welcome all sorts of creativity. Do your thing and do what makes you happy - as long as it isn't digitally created and sticks to our challenge theme!

The team have come up with inspirational projects, too, of course.

Kerstin

is sharing another of her beautiful desk organisers, done in her brilliantly unique and inspiring steampunk-sea life-mixed media style.

Her project is called

"Steampunk Under the Sea"

Maura

is re-visiting a project from 2016 that is still dear to her heart. She does so because of real life issues that have made it impossible for her to enjoy some creative time at her work desk. The team and I wish her and her family the very best!

I am definitely happy to see her beautiful Christmas Angel canvas again!

has come up with this mesmerising mixed media tag.
I love how she combines media with found objects to tell
the most beautiful stories!

And don't we all agree that art is the answer?
I definitely do. ;)

is fully into stars this year - this time she
created one in steampunk mixed media style
to decorate her home for Christmas with.

Look at all the beautiful texture and layers!
Magical indeed!

and I

- Claudia

have created my first Christmas home decor piece for this year
(which is definitely early for me ;)

There's a detailed how-to with all the products used listed on my blog.
I hope to see you over there!

To visit the team's blogs and find out more about their projects, simply click on their names to get there. Please, take some seconds to leave them a little love there in the comments section - you will make them all very happy by doing so! Thank you!

The challenge is open until 31st December and the Top5 and prize winners will be announced on 15th January 2021. The team and I would like to thank all our players for playing along with us so truly and  constantly this year and our wonderful prize sponsors boozybear and DecoArt for their generosity!
I would also like to thank my wonderful team of course for all their fabulous work and support!
You all rock!

We wish you all safe holidays, a joyful advent season,
merry Christmas and a happy new year!

SanDee&amelie's Steampunk Challenge - September 2020

Hi, servus and welcome back after a hopefully wonderful summer holiday! We're back to our usual schedule with monthly challenges after our summer special and - as always - the theme for our September challenge is

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

(though some of the design team obviously already got carried away by Halloween which is - I admit it - fast approaching. lol And as long as we can - with some good will - spot at least a hint of steampunk to your projects, everything's fine. ;)

If you check by on the 15th you'll learn about the Top5 and prize winners from our summer special challenge and of course our generous sponsors DecoArt and boozybear are giving away a prize bundle each again this month - so your three allowed entries are three chances to winning one of these!

Susan

is kicking off our September challenge with

another of her cool mixed media handmade books

At

Kerstin's

the "Season of the Witch"

has already begun and she has created this amazing tag for you

Maura

has done another fantastic spread in her journal -

it's about the collecting adventures of "Dr. Hibatsu"

(Bet you didn't know this was one of the many names her students christened her with during her teaching career!)

Zoja's

latest awesome mixed media panel

has a spooky touch to it, too.

and I

- Claudia -

have been taking a break from crafting for the last weeks (due to health reasons),

so I am sharing a revisited steampunk themed project (that was a project for a different design team) that you might not know yet -

the "Numeric Goddess"

We are still in the midst of checking all your fantastic entries to our summer special challenge and

we hope to see you play along with us again this month - your imagination and creativity really never fail to amaze us!

The challenge is - as always - open until the end of the month and the normal rules apply (please, make sure you check out our few rules so we don't have to exclude anyone from prize drawings and Top5 votes!)

Hugs and happy crafting!
