SanDee&amelie's 2019 Winter Special Top 5 and Prize Winners

Hi, servus and welcome to the announcement of our Top 5 and prize winners from the 2019 Winter Special Challenge!

Thank you so much for all the amazing entries and for the loads of fabulous inspiration shared with us and our players here on our challenge blog! I just love what's going on in this creative steampunk and industrial style corner of crafty blogland! You all rock! XXX

Our actual January challenge is already in full swing and can be found HERE. It is - as always - open until the end of the month and our two generous sponsors DecoArt and boozybear will once more send out a fabulous prize package to the maker of one randomly chosen entry number among all proper  entries. So don't miss the chance to either win a fab bundle of DecoArt premium paints and products or a fantastic steampunk chipboard surprise bundle put together by lovely Glenda - the designer and owner of the boozybear Etsy shop. We hope to see you play along with us in 2020 again!

Our prize winners are....

#15
hobby-istka

who wins this cool bundle of DecoArt premium goodness...

and

#6
Marie Linder

who will get a surprise package of fab steampunk chippies from boozybear!

Yay! Congrats on your prize wins, ladies! Please, contact me under the email address given in our sidebar so I can have your goodies be sent to you asap. DecoArt prize winners, please, provide a phone number (as DecoArt only send out goods when they have a number that can be contacted in case of delivery issues).

Let's move on to our

Top 5

(which are as usual presented in no particular order
and you can check out their makes in more detail by
clicking on the names)

Sadly we cannot present five images of beautiful makes as our Top 5 this time, as there are three entries among our Top5 this month that have been entered from Instagram.  Instagram though recently seem to have done some changes to their format so they do not allow images to be copied  and shared on here anymore (only the whole Instagram post at a fixed size which looks way too huge and prominent and I do not like that to be honest) - so there are just the names of these players with a link to their entry we can share with you.

Honestly I really think that's a shame as the projects are all just so amazing and not being able to display these on here where we are offering a platform to share and gather steampunk and industrial style inspiration really hurts and makes me sad. I know that many of you also use facebook and from there I am at least able to copy the images and save them on my computer to directly upload them here on Blogger...maybe you'd like to consider using that instead in the future...

Congrats and thanks so much for sharing your amazing and inspiring steampunk art with us, ladies!
Please, feel free to grab our Top 5 badge for display on your blogs or other social media platforms!
I am so sad I am not able to display all your projects on here - they are all just mindblowingly beautiful and creative!

Much love and thanks go out to all our true and fabulous players who so constantly wow us with their imagination and creativity! If you haven't entered a make to our actual January challenge already, you are still able to do so until the end of the month. We hope to see you play along with us again!

Hugs and happy steampunk crafting!

SanDee&amelie's January 2020 Steampunk Challenge

Yay! Happy New Year to you, dear steampunk and industrial style challenge friends! We're so happy to be back for another year filled with loads of steampunk inspiration shared via our challenges! Our challenge blog is just entering its 8th year! Wow! This is almost unbelievable, isn't it?! Who would have thought we would make it this long and this far??!!

But here we are - and we are because of you - our imaginative, utterly creative and true players and our two wonderful, generous prize sponsors DecoArt and boozybear! Without you and your support there would be no such story to tell - and I just want to take this opportunity to let you know how much this means to the team and myself! Thank you all so so much! You rock! XXX

After our two months long winter special challenge (whose Top5 and prize winners will be announced on the 15th) we are back to our usual one month long challenge and three entries per player. For additional rules (there aren't many but these few need to be followed to allow for fair prize drawings and playing conditions), please, check the "Da Rules" tab on top of the blog page (right below the header) if you haven't done so already.

This month's challenge theme is once more

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

so you are free to let your imagination run wild and create in whatever technique or medium you feel most at ease with.

The InLinkz collection at the bottom of this post allows you to enter your projects. All you need to do is follow the instructions that lead you through the process once you've pressed the blue button to enter your make. You can enter makes via facebook, your blogs and Instagram as well! By the way....we have an Instagram account too that you can follow if you like. You can find it HERE. And these were the nine most liked #steampunkchallenges shares on Instagram from 2019...

...and you can also follow our activities via our facebook "SASPC Open Studio" group which can be found HERE.

To give you a little dose of steampunk inspiration let's check out the design team's makes!

has titled her beautiful tag
"Coming into the 20s"

Look at the rusty tones, the amazing backgrounds and that wonderfully wire-y dragonfly!!!
I love all of it! And the quote too!

created a wooden sign in the shape of an arrow
that shows the way to a new creative year in what she calls
"the Magic Laboratory, where you can find all the important ingredients for new projects:
ideas, heart, hope and bravery"!

is letting her imagination run free for the new year.
Imagine the Collision of Steampunk and a Futuristic Universe!

"Out of This World"
is the title of her awesomely textural project

greets the new year with her
"New Years Star"
that was inspired by concrete industrial walls with damask stencil accents

The smaller star with the lights was subtly painted to look like concrete too.

and I

am kicking off another year of steampunk creativity
with a charming little collaged mixed media ATC
titled "King Frédéric".
