SanDee&amelie's April 2019 Steampunk Challenge

Hi, servus and welcome to the start of our April challenge, dear steampunk and industrial style friends!

March has seen the most fantastic entries and I am sure April will, too! The team have once more come up with some fantastic projects for your inspiration as well of course and the theme is - as always -

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

and makes of all kinds (except ones that are completely digital makes) are more than welcome. So show us your tags, scrapbook or art journal pages, your altered objects, crocheted goggles, paper craft projects and whatever else can be created by hand and with the use of stamps, paints, inks and all the other goodness of mixed media that is out there. ;)

The Top5 and prize winners from the March challenge will be announced on the 15th - so don't forget to visit our blog again and check if you have won or made our Top5. As always we will pick two winners (randomly among all proper entries) who will win one of the two fab prize bundles we offer (thanks to our generous sponsors DecoArt and boozybear!).

If you enter our challenge via Instagram or facebook, please, make sure your privacy settings are switched to public, so my team can see and leave a comment on your makes. Not all on my design team (and all our players) have accounts on each of these platforms and often find they cannot even see your makes (and also not comment) - which is a shame. And of course we cannot include in our Top5 or prize draws what we cannot see.

The challenge is open until the end of the month and all the other (few) challenge rules can be found at the top of our challenge blog page - right below the header.

But now on to the design team projects...which I really couldn't wait to show you as they're all fantastic (well, they always are....right?)

created a magical mixed media cover
for an art journal book

Love the corrugated card and the deep blue
and how it makes the golden accents pop

imagined what the control panel of an airship might look like
after years of use

Just look at this rusty goodness!

wows us with a beautiful assemblage piece
that she titled "The Open Door"

also used corrugated card on her make this time
and went for the same colour scheme as Kerstin...
but with a totally different result (though equally beautiful)

altered a sketchbook cover
and turned it into this beauty:

and I

Claudia -

created a tiny tag album
on which I combined various DecoArt paints and products,
boozybear chipboard pieces and Calico Craft Parts

You know I love to work on very small formats, but I still always am amazed myself by how much mixed media goodness can be put on these...

If you would like to see or learn more about the projects and the how-to, simply click on the design team's names to get to their blogs. And if you take a sec to leave a short comment there, that will be much appreciated!

Haven't promised too much, have I?
Honestly this design team makes me so proud! And so do all the fantastic entries we get each month! You all rock!

Can't wait to see what you will surprise us with next! ;)

Hugs and happy crafting!
