For more details on the challenge theme and for some inspiration from the DT, please click on the image on top of our side bar to get taken to the challenge kick off post. But there's new inspiration from the DT today as well - so maybe you should first read to the end of this post ;)
The button to enter your project to our inLinkz collection can be found at the end of this post here but also with the post from 1. November.

Our next challenge starts on January 1st and the Top5 and prize winners from the winter special challenge will be announced on January 15th. But now on to some exciting news...

I am very happy and proud to introduce to you our new amazing prize bundle from DecoArt for 2019!!!!

A collection of 9 selected DecoArt Americana premium acrylic paints and 6 premium mediums in a fantastic prize bundle about $50 worth will be our new give-away for the new year! Wow! A huge thank you to my wonderful DecoArt ladies and to DecoArt for their generosity!

And lovely Glenda from boozybear with her fantastic steampunk chipboard pieces (in a surprise package) will be with us again too of course!

So don't miss the chance to win - all you have to do is play along ;)

And if you need a little additional inspiration to get you going, here are some makes from the design team to celebrate Christmas steampunk style ;)

has created this amazing "Wishes" tag and lighted two beautiful Christmas (or Advent) candles for you.

I love that little scroll at the bottom of the tag!

I guess the clock is counting down the days until Christmas Eve... ;)

went for traditional greens and reds for Christmas...
and for some cool texture

"Circuit to the Christmas Star"
shows how beautifully steampunk and a Christmas theme
can be fused

has come up with a stunning Christmas tag
that has some amazing crackle and hints of rusty shades and wire

and I

- Claudia -

had to play with some newly bought house dies and created a little
winter scene on a Christmas tag, using various metal paints and other glitter effect paints alongside
a good dose of faux rust on the houses

Even the snow has been stained with rust it seems... ;)

The team and I would like to wish you all

and a Happy New Year!

We hope to see you play along with us again in 2019. Thank you to all our wonderfully creative and true players out there and to our generous sponsors for being part of this wonderful creative journey! You all rock and we wouldn't be here without you! Mwah! xxx

SanDee&amelie's Steampunk Winter Special Challenge 2019

Hi, servus and welcome to the start of our annual two months long steampunk and industrial style challenge for November and December, dear SASPC friends!

The idea behind doing a single challenge that starts now and will be open until the end of December is to give you enough time to still squeeze one or the other little steampunk or industrial style project in between your Christmas crafting and preparations. We all know how quickly four weeks can pass by....even when you have planned to do a little project besides the X-mas themed ones...so giving you eight weeks time makes things a lot easier and more relaxed, right?

We will have a post on 1st December though...to remind you of our running challenge and with additional inspirational content as well as some information on slight changes for 2019...and of course there's the announcement post of our October Top 5 and prize winners to come on 15th November, too....so stay tuned!

Our challenge theme for November and December is the usual

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

and of course a project that combines X-mas with steampunk or industrial style is more than welcome too ;)
And as it is a two months long challenge you are allowed to enter up to five projects instead of just the usual three!

Let's kick off today's round of inspirational projects with

who might just have the perfect idea for a self made X-mas present in steampunk style for you...

...this awesome and cosy felt cuff, embellished with gears die cut from felt as well!

I love this idea...and the brown buttons to close the cuff, too!
(Can you guess where the "steam" half of the word steampunk went? giggle)

inspires us with this amazing mixed media project:
Artist Trading Coins on a Line!

Just look at all the amazing texture and the rusty tones!!

(who knows about my love for creepy crawlies)
has made me happy with her
"Passion" tag

Looks like a rusty cockroach, doesn't it?
And it even shows the time! ;)

has a fascination for time machines and the idea of time travel, so her project is a tribute to Dr. Who and the TARDIS.

Zoja

already went into Christmas mode and created this gorgeous and festive steampunk star ornament

I am sure it will look just beautiful on her Christmas tree!!!

I

went into a totally different direction and came up with something really colourful this time.

A Wrapped Journal might make a wonderful Christmas present...(but maybe I will give it to myself, as I really like how the cover turned out...lol).

As always there are two give-away-s to be won by two randomly drawn players - one is this cool bundle of DecoArt media goodness

and is being donated by DecoArt media, one of our two generous prize sponsors.

The other is an amazing steampunk chipboard surprise package designed and donated by lovely Glenda aka boozybear!

Remember - for our winter special challenge your chances to win one of these rise from three to five possible entries! So don't miss your chance and play along! ;)

Hugs and happy steampunk (and of course Christmas) crafting!

SASPC September 2018 Top5 and Prize Winners

Hi, servus and welcome to our announcing the Top5 and prize winners from the September challenge, dear steampunk and industrial style friends!

As always I feel the urge to say a huge THANK YOU to all who have been playing along with us so truly and constantly since my (dearly missed) friend Sandra and I put up this challenge blog. We have come incredibly far and this spot wouldn't be the special place it has become without YOU and your wonderful makes and all the fab inspiration shared (and without my wonderful design team and our generous sponsors DecoArt media and Glenda from boozybear chipboard pieces of course). I feel truly blessed to be the owner of this challenge blog - because of you all! Mwah! XXX

The October challenge is in full swing (remember, we also accept Halloween themed makes as long as they have at least a bit of a visible twist towards industrial or steampunk) and there's still two more weeks left to enter the challenge, share some steampunk fun, maybe make our Top5 by doing so and also to get eligible for one of our two prize bundles - one being donated by DecoArt media

the other - a surprise package of awesomely inspiring steampunk chipboard pieces - by awesomely talented Glenda aka boozybear.

The winners get drawn randomly from all proper entries. So make sure you've checked our few challenge rules before you enter our challenge for the first time!

So let's see who won the September goodies...

...aaaaand the winner of the DecoArt package is...

#6 - Christine

The boozybear package goes to

#23 - Karin Boreas

Yay! Congrats, ladies! Well done! Please, contact me under the email address given in our side bar so I can forward your shipping info to our sponsors. (DecoArt need a phone number as well, so, please, include that too). Thanks so much for playing along! xxx

And without any further ado .... our September Top5! Applause, applause, applause!!!!!

who amazed us with her altered mannequin

Sara Emily Barker http://sarascloset1.blogspot.com/ Foundry Altered Mannequin #timholtz #foundry #3Dembossing #distresspaints 18

showed us how to add a little steampunk twist to her
lovely scrapbook style project

has come up with this gobsmackingly
brilliant trio of ATCs

created this breathtakingly beautiful canvas
with some creepy crawlies and loads of yummy metal surface texture

and

Steampunk hat blew us away completely!

SanDee&amelie's October 2018 Steampunk Challenge

Hi, servus and welcome back to the start of our October challenge, dear steampunk and industrial style mixed media, stamping and crafting friends!

It's Claudia here this month to present our new challenge. As always our theme is

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

but as Halloween is fast approaching we of course also welcome projects that are a mix of both - steampunk/industrial elements and Halloween fun! This way you don't have to interrupt any Halloween swing you're currently in but are still able to play along with us (and get eligible for one of our two prizes being given away to randomly drawn players by our generous sponsors DecoArt media and boozybear). The challenge is open until the end of the month. Prize winners and Top5 will be announced on the 15th of the following month.

If you haven't already checked out our few and simple to follow challenge rules, we would like to ask you to do so before entering our challenge - it would be a shame if your wonderful makes would have to be excluded from Top 5 votes or prize draws!

As mentioned above - Halloween is in the air already: so a great part of the design team have also come up with projects that have a Halloween twist. But have a look yourselves:

has come up with this awesomely textural
"Double Frame"

Just look at the beautiful detail in the background:

Maura

headed over to the darker side this month, inspired by the legends of the Celcitc goddess Morrigu.

She created four ATCs  using alcohol inks, then connected them into a folding panel.

Kerstin

has once more created a beautifully layered mixed media panel in her unique style.
"The Halloween month has begun -
the right time for a tombstone in a bewitched place!"
she says.

Susan's

amazingly textural and wonderfully eerie project
goes by the title of
"Survivoring Halloween"

Zoja

has once more created a steampunk project using
vibrant colours and combining these with beautiful
steampunk themed bits 'n bobs.

You just gotta love this mini steampunk album!

and I

- Claudia -

have challenged myself  with the mission to use up some of my long hoarded tiny scraps and pieces I have been keeping in little tins and bowls on my desk (some for ages) and combine then into a mixed media steampunk canvas

The only spooky detail with my project is that it has one piece on it that I have been hoarding
for at least five years now! lol

***

As usual you will find more images and info on the projects by visiting the design team's blogs. Please,  leave them a little love there if you can spare a second or two. You will make them very happy by doing so! Thank you!

***

So get your thinking hats on, rummage your boxes with those long hoarded treasures, browse your favourite steampunk and Halloween themed dies, get out your favourite colours for this time of the year....do whatever makes you happy at your craft desks and share the results with us by entering our challenge. We love being inspired by all your fantastic makes and your imagination!

Don't forget to come back here on the 15th to find out who made it into our September Top5 and who won the prizes from our two generous sponsors!
