SASPC May 2018 Challenge Mid Month Reminder plus our April Top 5 and Prize Winners

Servus and welcome back to our second round of inspirational projects for the May challenge as well as to the announcement of our April Top 5 and prize winners!

This is the last time that we're presenting the team's makes in two parts. From next month on you will get the full dose of inspiration from the design team at the verystart of the monthly challenge on the 1st, which will be followed by the announcement of our Top5 and prize winners on the 15th. Next month's challenge will be hosted by lovely Maura, who has so willingly and lovingly jumped in to help me with running the challenge blog from now on! Those who already know Maura, know that you will be in good hands with her.

This month's challenge theme is - as always - an

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

and we only ask that you only enter Steampunk and Industrial themed makes to our challenges or our facebook group and follow our really few and simple rules when playing along so we can consider you for our top votes and prize draws! I have also added information on entering a facebook link to our challenge link up collection to the rules as the team and I have been repeatedly experiencing issues with not being able to see projects (and therefor also not being able to comment on them) because of facebook privacy settings. Sadly of course these makes can also not be included with the votes and prize draws (as we can simply not see them). So IF you want to play along and enter your make to the inlinkz collection from your facebook account, make sure we can see what you have entered without having to be friends on facebook! Thank you!

Let's start with prize winners this time.

As always DecoArt media and lovely Glenda from boozybear will give away a prize to our two monthly winners that I draw randomly from all proper entries.

And this fab bundle of DecoArt media goodness

goes to

entry #25
Agnes Kieler

and a surprise package of awesome steampunk chipboards from boozybear

goes to

entry #20
eMKa

Congrats on your prize wins, ladies, and thanks so much for playing along! Please, email me under the address given in the side bar so I can forward your shipping details to Glenda and DecoArt asap. DecoArt prize winners, please, also provide a phone number.

Next up the makes of Team B!

has created a special "Lady Light"
using boozybear chipboard wings, DecoArt products and loads of imagination!

made this fantastic trio of ATCs
that she calls
"Children of the Gear"

(love the title...and the ATCs, of course!)

"Petrified Kraken"
on another of her beautiful altered bottles
amazes with fantastic texture
and once more a beautifully aged and worn look
I wonder what it was that scared the poor kraken so much...

and I

have once more chosen to play on the small format of an ATC
(I am always amazed by how much media and effects can be used and shown on a project so small of size). The new DecoArt pouring medium has found its way onto my ATC as well as some of my old favourites like Metallic Lustre, Antiquing Creams and Crackle Paste.

By clicking on the teamies' names you get taken to their blogs to find out more about the projects (like products and techniques used or steps images so you can create your own interpretations). If you take a second to leave them a short comment you will make them very happy. Thank you so much!

And last but not least - our Top 5 from the April challenge!

(in no particular order)

with her lovely
Air Balloon Lamp

with this amazing tag
in her very unique style

and her awesome "Gorgoneion Assemblage" mirror

These are just amazing makes, ladies! Thank you so much for sharing them with us and for the fantastic inspiration! Please, feel free to grab the Top 5 badge from the top of this post (or the side bar) for display on your blogs!

A huge THANK YOU to all the other players too - we always love ALL the fantastic projects you enter to our challenges so constantly (and almost always there are so many who are really hot on the Top 5s' heels so we could easily do a Top 32 post if that made sense....)! It is EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU and your creativity who make this creative spot the special place it is! XXX

The current challenge is open until the end of the month - so still enough time to play along. The team and I would love to see your makes entered to the collection and have you join in our steampunk mixed media sharing fun!

Hugs and happy crafting!

New Challenge, New Host, New Projects - SASPC's May 2018 Challenge

Hi, servus and welcome to a special challenge kick off post today!
There are some changes at the moment that I want you to know about, before we head on to this month's challenge.

First of all, we have to sadly say Good-bye to lovely Nate, who is leaving the DT due to (only wonderful) changes in her private life and the team and I would like to say a huge THANK YOU for being with us on this journey and also wish her the very best for her future endeavours.

Secondly, I would like to introduce my new challenge co-host for the future; lovely Maura from Maura's Musings. As I found I need to spend less time sitting at my computer (and sitting in general because I need to get moving again due to health reasons), I called out for some assistance and she was there to help in the wink of an eye!

Here's what she tells us about herself:

I've joyously jumped to the right side of my brain and love playing with color. It all started when I was a kid sitting under the tree in the backyard drawing, but now my muse inspires me to work in mixed media and steampunk. I especially like to use my imagination when creating my art and am often inspired by books I’ve read or places I’ve traveled.  I enjoy life with my family in the Adirondack region of New York, and am blessed with a beautiful view of the mountains outside of my studio area (a corner of our living room). Travel, gardening and reading make me a happy camper, and I am still fascinated by clouds and rocks from my years of teaching earth science.

Please, welcome her as our new challenge host! I am so happy to have her by my side! We will be alternately hosting the challenges for each month from now on and I am looking forward to her making things hum over here!

With one woman down for Team A's projects, there are only three inspirational projects today, but we will change that too with June and post all projects on the 1st of the month and only announce our Top5 and prize winners on the 15th. This way the Top5 and DT projects will also stand alone and not be rivaling in the future - so they all will get the visibility they truly deserve ;)

Our May Challenge - it is once more an

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

and open until the end of the month.

Same rules as usual apply and if you return on the 15th there will be more inspiration by the DT and the announcement of our April Top 5 and prize winners!

is finally kicking off our May challenge
with this wonderful
Steampunk Shrine

She has combined found objects in the most beautiful way
and created some awesome texture on the shrine!

has once more outdone herself as well
and created this amazing "old industrial mini plant board"
using DecoArt products and some cool embellishments.

Zoja

embellished and painted an artist palette
and turned it into this beautiful piece of altered art:

Our challenge is open until the end of the month! By playing along you get the chance to win one of our two fab prizes generously donated by our sponsors DecoArt media

and

Just make sure you follow our few challenge rules (see top of the page) to get included with our prize draws! Maybe you will even make it to our Top5!

Hope to see you play along soon
and as always
hugs and happy crafting!
