Boozybear Special III

Hi, servus and welcome back to another boozybear feature!

What's it all about? Well, we thought it was about time to give Glenda - aka boozybear - and her fab steampunk chipboard pieces the attention they deserve and we will be doing so by showing steampunk/industrial style projects done by my wonderful DT - each using the same boozybear parts but in totally different projects and ways of using them so you can see how versatile these are and maybe also grab a little inspiration here and there for your own projects.

So throughout the next months you will find extra project posts over here - each done by one of my talented DT ladies and I am so happy to have the opportunity to not only show Glenda's amazing chipboard designs but also let my DT each have the stage to herself. (to make it easier for you to compare the projects I will add links to the previously posted boozybear projects to every new project post.) I find the idea thrilling to see how differently the same chipboard pieces can be approached. I hope you do too. ;)

*Here's the link list to previous boozybear projects done by the DT:

Boozybear Special I
Boozybear Special II

Today we open the stage for Alexa and her fab boozybear feature project. Enjoy!

Here is my project done with Glenda's fab boozybear sponsor chipboard pieces.
When I first saw the chipboards my first thought was... rust !!! I need rust...

Here you can see  the chipboards we got....I love all of them and it was a great pleasure to work with them! Thank you so much Glenda!

More views of my finished altered steampunk box:

I hope you are inspired to work with Glenda's awesome chippies in your own way and create some steampunk magic!

Hugs
Alexa

Thank you so much for your beautiful altered box, Alexa! I love the rust you have created and how you have arranged the chippies to form a great "framing" for the little putto with the gorgeous wings! A wonderful idea!

I hope you like Alexa's make as much as I do, dear SASPC friends! If you haven't checked out the makes of Kerstin and Maura, I highly recommend you do so. (the links to their posts on here are given at the top of this post in the "introductory blurb section"). Next up will be the start of our November+December Steampunk/Industrial challenge on the 1st of November. As usual we will do a two months long challenge, so we all have enough time to play along AND create for Christmas and the magical Advent season. ;)

More boozybear feature posts will follow during the next weeks. So stay tuned! And of course I hope you will still join in our October challenge! There's still more than a week's time to play along! Simply click HERE to get taken to the challenge post.

Thanks for stopping by and as always
hugs and happy crafting!

SASPC's October 2017 Challenge - Round Two

Servus, hi and welcome back to round two of our October challenge with our usual

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

challenge theme!

It is time to present the makes of Team B (and if you haven't already taken a look at the Team A projects, you can still do so by clicking HERE) and also remind you that there are still two more weeks (until the end of October) for you to create and enter a project to our challenge. You could be the (randomly drawn) prize winner of a fab boozybear chipboard surprise package or some awesome DecoArt media products. And maybe you will also make it into our Top5....ah, well...fame and honour! Yessss! lol

So let's feed your steampunk/industrial mojo with some new projects...if you want to learn more about any of the projects, simply click on the names of my DT ladies to be taken to their blogs. And if you want to share a little love by leaving them a short comment, you will make them veeeery happy! Thank you!

is already in full Halloween swing and that also shows with her fab
October steampunk project - this fantastic altered bottle!

She tells us:
"I was in an old castle and found something there, completely dusty and forgotten.
It's a real OLD Raven - That's the truth! ;-)."

says:

"I have a very detailed and layered up tag for you this month.
It has quite aGothic feel as we enter the Halloween period"

Just peeking through maybe a spell?

asks:

"Are you ready for...a Steampunk Kokopelli?
We recently found a box of figures my husband had designed and cut years ago
and I've been having fun altering them!"

and I

have been working on some painted portraits lately as you may know...
I love the TV series "Ripper Street" - not only because of these handsome guys, but also the steampunk and Victorian feel of it. So I tried to capture that as well as I was trying to do some proper portraits. I hope I came at least a little close... ;)

So, whatever you are up to - stamping, doing a card, a tag, some mixed media messing around, doodling, drawing, painting...we want to see it all (as long as it follows our challenge theme)! lol
Also keep looking out for the next "boozybear special" feature over here. Loads of inspiration on how to use the fab chippies you can win by playing along with us! ;)

Hugs and happy crafting!

Boozybear Special II + our September Top5 and Prize Winners

Hi, servus and welcome to this double-feature today! Not only is it time to announce our Top5 and prize winners from the September challenge, but we would also like to share with you another inspirational project - created by lovely Maura this time - for our boozybear prize sponsor feature.

We thought it was about time to give Glenda - aka boozybear - and her fab steampunk chipboard pieces the attention they deserve and we will be doing so by showing steampunk/industrial style projects done by my wonderful DT - each using the same boozybear parts but in totally different projects and ways of using them so you can see how versatile these are and maybe also grab a little inspiration here and there for your own projects.

I hope you do too. ;)

*Here's the link to the "Boozybear Special I" project post. (this list will be added to with each new boozybear feature post).

Of course there's also our other prize we're giving away each month - being generously donated by DecoArt media - and it is this great bundle of DecoArt media goodness:

Both monthly prizes go to randomly drawn winners (among all proper entries!). So all you have to do to get the chance to win one of these is play along and have some steampunk/industrial creative fun!
Please, find September's winners in this post right after the boozybear special. But for now let's open the stage for Maura and her boozybear project! Yay!

I am so happy to share some inspiration using these fabulous Boozybear Chipboard pieces with you! I love the quality and variety of pieces that are perfect for steampunk.

I decided to work small and make a couple of time themed ATC's, so I picked out some of the smaller chipboard pieces to use like the clock face and gears.

I took the Boozybear clock and gears and rubbed on the Copper Kettle Metallic, then dabbed on some Payne's Grey and Prussian Blue Fluid Acrylic paints. I also sprayed on a bit of Carbon Black, aiming for a metallic but rusty look.

I added the chipboard over the images, and found some watch parts, key, dragonfly, etc. to also add on. The chipboard really adds a wonderful dimensional touch to the ATC's.

I hope you've found a bit of inspiration and ideas on ways to use these cool steampunk inspired chipboard pieces!

Happy Crafting!
Maura

SASPC October 2017 Challenge - Part One

Servus, hi and welcome to part one of our monthly steampunk and industrial style challenge! Time to kick off the first round of inspirational projects created by my wonderful design team and lure you into creating another steampunk and/or industrial style project so you can play along!
This month's challenge is once more an

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

themed one - so feel free to create whatever makes you happy as long as it has at least a hint of steampunk and/or industrial feel to it!

Last month's entries were - once again - just amazing and the team and I will - once again - have a hard time picking our favourites for our Top5...and I am sure - as always - there will be a lot of close follower ups. You all rock our challenges so amazingly each time and I am so proud and happy that you share your fab makes with me and the team and our blog readers and players so constantly! Thank you all so much for being part of this! It all started out as a spontaneous (and crazy...at least it seemed crazy back then) idea of my friend Sandra back then....and look what has become of it! I am a very proud and happy challenge blog owner - and that mainly because of the wonderful help of my design team, you - our true players - and of course our generous and wonderful prize sponsors DecoArt media and boozybear chipboards!

By the way....we have just started a special "boozybear feature" to showcase Glenda's amazing chipboard designs in more detail and also show how the same chippies can be used differently in projects. So watch out during the next weeks...there's more to come. The first boozybear special can be visited by clicking HERE.  The next boozybear post will go live in a week or so.
Glenda - boozybear designer and owner - is giving away a surprise steampunk chipboard package to one randomly drawn winner each month and it could for example look like this...

And there's our second prize for another randomly drawn winner each month - this fab bundle of DecoArt media goodies:

All you have to do to win is play along and enter a project! (and of course follow the few challenge rules we have).
A propos...the prize winners and Top5 from our September challenge will be announced next Saturday, 7th October (alongside with our second boozybear feature)!

But now on to the makes of my wonderful ladies from Team A! Tadaaahhh!....

has altered her black leather planner and turned it into treasure

came up with this amazing set of ATCs created on cardboard...

made these amazing and fab little pieces of steampunk art and titled them
"Explore the City"

Nate's

breathtakingly beautiful project is titled
"Le Voyage"
("The Journey")

and
  Zoja

made this beautiful, classic scrapbook layout
with yummy texture and layers...

You see - all kinds of projects are welcome - as long as they are handmade. Show us your tags, layouts, cards, altered objects, mixed media canvases and other creative ideas! We can't wait to see what you will come up with next!

The challenge is as always open until the end of the month. On 15th October there will be another round of inspiration with the makes of Team B. So make sure to come back then and check them out! You can also visit the teamies' blogs to find out more about the projects and products used on them. And if you take the time to leave them a short comment you will make them very happy. Thank you!

Hugs and happy crafting!
