Round Two of our April 2017 Challenge

Servus, dear steampunk friends!

It's so good to have you back and playing along with us again! And as our theme is an

"Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial"

again, you are free to create whatever comes to (steampunk) mind and have fun!
If you are new to our challenge blog, please, take a second to check our few and simple rules (because we want to be fair to all those who do and will exclude improper entries from top votes and prize draws).

If you haven't already taken a look (and commented on) the awesome makes from Team A I highly recommend you do so and get yourselves another dose of steampunk inspiration! It would also be so lovely of you if you took a second to visit the teamies' blogs and check out their projects in more detail (and maybe even leave a short comment there)! Thank you so much! (you get to their blogs by clicking on their names).

And here we go:

has used a lot of DecoArt goodness to create this wonderfully inspiring tag:

The lovely wings are made of paper clay!

project is titled "Sunken Treasures".
It's a beautifully altered bottle that looks amazingly old, doesn't it?
Upcycling at its best!

Look at the beautiful ornament she has added to the bottleneck!
There must once have been a really precious beverage inside...

was inspired by Earth Day for her project and was thinking about keeping Earth's gears turning.

and I

created this APC duo:

There's a lot of traffic going on on my "Steampunk City" ATCs! Zeppelins are floating by and shiny metal dust flakes from the many factories cloud the air. Gear shaped drones are monitoring everything that happens down in the narrow streets...these are adventurous times for tough steampunk explorers!

Our challenge is open until the end of the month and as always we will draw two prize winners for our DecoArt media prize bundle and the surprise steampunk chipboard package from boozybear among all proper entries.

And I have also decided to shine a special spotlight on a project that didn't make our Top5 but won my heart instantly (we used to do spotlights back when Sandra and I started this challenge blog and I think it was a wonderful idea....so why not do it again?):

so this month I would like to highlight Kathi's awesomely story-telling tag:

She really managed to fuse all the elements she created into one single and very convincing story. And I love her colouring! Wow!

And of course I want to thank all of our players for joining in our challenges so constantly and truly and with so many amazing projects! You all make this place the special creative steampunk spot it has become! Thank you ever so much for that! Mwah! XXX

I hope you will come back on the 15th, when Team B will be sharing their makes for our April challenge. If you want to check out the Team A makes and the entries so far, just scroll down to the previous post (or use the badge on top of our side bar).

Servus, hi and welcome to the start of our April challenge that is an

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

themed one again. So you are invited to let your imagination run wild and create whatever you are up to and have fun with - as long as it is something steampunk-ish or industrial and handmade.

Our March challenge had over fourty fab entries and we will announce our Top 5 and prize winners next Saturday, on 8th April.

The actual challenge is - as always - open until the end of the month and we will randomly draw two prize winners of the DecoArt media and boozybear prize bundles from all proper entries. You can enter up to three projects - so why not multiply your winning chances on winning this bundle of DecoArt media goodies or a surprise mix of fab steampunk chipboard pieces!

In the meantime we provide you with the first dose of steampunk inspiration to get your mojo going and my fab DT ladies have once more come up with the most creative projects - so take a close look (and maybe even visit their blogs - by clicking on the names - to learn more about them and also leave them a short comment. You will make them very happy by doing so!)!

Team A

made this fab industrial panel
with yummy rust and crackle textures:

created the most amazing desk organizer to store her crafting tools in.
She altered some cans and placed them on a rotating plate.
Isn't that just genius?

created some piping "for full steam ahead"
on her amazing tag:

did some wonderful art journaling
and created a faux rust effect

and

made this wonderful "stand up tag"
on which she used acrylic paints, a stencil, images, die cuts, tiny bottles, metal pieces, a button and a light bulb

and this is the backside

That really should have helped with getting you on steampunk track ;)
We can't wait to see what you will come up with!

Make sure to check back next Saturday to find out about the Top 5 and prize winners and also on the 15th, when Team B will be sharing their makes for more inspiration!

In the meantime...
