Our January 2017 Challenge - Part Two

Hi, servus and salut! So good to see you back and you're just in time to check out part two of our January challenge which asks you to share your

Top 3
2016 Steampunk/Industrial Projects

Team A have already shared their picks with you (check those out over HERE) and now it is time to present what the rest of my wonderful DT have chosen as their favourites!

If you haven't checked out our Top 5 and prize winners from the December challenge, click HERE.

Our January challenge is open until the end of the month and as always we will pick two prize winners and our Top 5 among all proper entries. All you have to do to get eligible is to revisit your 2016 steampunk and industrial projects (all of them - not just the ones you made for our challenges!), pick your three favs and share them with us in a newly written up post with images and links to the three original posts in it. We are impatiently waiting to see what you will pick!

But now - finally - on to our second round of of steampunk/industrial favourites:

My first choice for the best of theme, of course, is my winner project from DecoArt Media - under the sea...i am still happy about that.
The other both projects are a little bit older...but it was a great fun to work them too.

It was a challenge to go back through all of my work
and just pick out three, but I did it! I love to read
Steampunk fiction and it really jumpstarts my imagination.

Eyes Tested
So much fun to transform plain old rubber goggles into funky
metallic ones worthy of an airship pirate.

Imagining giant koi in space that can ride time waves
 in my art journal....

This canvas took me deep below the ocean, and I got to try out
rust paste and work with Tyvek.

Here's to a new year filled with steampunk goodness!

My all time favourite is a steampunk meadow.

My second pick is a tiny little steampunk top hat that was really fun to make.

My third pick is a more recent project - a rusty box.

 Shining Moments May 2016

It was of course hard to pick my favourites as I have been on this DT since the very beginning of SanDee&amelie's Steampunk Challenges in 2013 (being the co-founder) and have a lot to choose from - but narrowing them down also meant to revisit all of them and that brought a lot of sweet memories back.

Now, dear players, it's your turn to show us your 2016 favourites among your steampunk/industrial mixed media, tag, card, altered, painted,....projects! We can't wait to see what you will pick!

Hugs and happy crafting!

New Year - New Top 5 - New Prize Winners!

Yay! 2017 is already in full swing and it's time for our first Top 5 and prize winners announcement of the new year!

The team and I hope that you all had lovely holidays and wish that your new year may be filled with loads of joy, fun and success on your new creative adventures! We also want to say thank you to those who made the time to play along with us in December! Picking our favourites was hard as always but pick we did!

But before the Top 5 will be announced I want to add "New Year - New Prize" to our headline, as I have put together a new DecoArt media prize bundle for you, so those who might win another time don't get the same products again...and of course this is a wonderful opportunity to introduce to you some other products from DecoArt media's wide range of fab mixed media stuff!

I so hope that you will like what I have chosen for the 2017 DecoArt media prize bundle! There's some black modeling paste and white crackle paint, then one of my favs - Liquid Glass - and two of the antiquing creams in the package besides a black spray mister, some Metallic Lustre and some of the fluid acrylics that are my most used when creating steampunk projects. So this should be great fun to work with and create some stunning mixed media effects!

And of course lovely Glenda, owner and designer of the fab boozybear steampunk chipboard pieces, is with us again! Yay! We're so happy to have her with us!

The last "old" DecoArt media prize pack is yet still to be given away and it goes to

Show Us Your 2016 Favourites! - SanDee&amelie's January Steampunk Challenge

Hi, servus, salut and welcome to our first challenge for 2017!

Naturally crafty blogland sees a lot of "year in review" posts these days and we thought we'd join in and have you and the DT share their three favourite steampunk or industrial mixed media projects from last year.

"My 3 Personal 2016 Favourites - Steampunk/Industrial"

is our challenge theme for January therefore.

So all you have to do to play along this time is to write up a new post on your blog featuring three (not more!!!) of your favourite steampunk or industrial style projects you made in 2016. They don't have to be ones that have been made for or entered into one of our challenges though - but they have to be steampunk or industrial style projects. In that post, please, link to this challenge and for your chosen projects show an image each and links to the original posts on your blog, so the DT and our players can have a closer look at them. We are so curious to see what your picks will be!

The Top 5 and prize winners from the December challenge will be announced on Saturday, 7th January - so stay tuned!!!

To make it a bit more interesting for the DT I allowed them to pick their three favourites among all projects they have made as a member of SanDee&amelie's Steampunk Challenges so far. So lovely Brigitte, for example, had to browse her DT projects that date back to November 2013! Wow! I am so happy that she is still with me and I hope she will be with me on this adventure for the next (at least) three years (and all my other fantastic teamies too of course!!!) ;)

Team A is kicking off the first challenge of the year by presenting their personal three favourites and don't miss Team B presenting theirs on the 15th (which brings us back to posting business as usual). So let's raise the curtains for some oldies but goodies! Yay!

We have added the links to the according project posts below the images so you can (re)visit them and learn more about any details or how-tos.

Nate's first pick is her first winning project that she made for SASPC in November 2014.

I can't wait to share with you the Team B picks!!!! I loved revisiting Brigitte's, Nate's, Zoja's and Susan's terrific projects as it made me so proud of having such a fantastic DT to call my own!!! Now I can't wait to see what your picks will be! The challenge will be open until the end of the month as always and of course there are two prizes to go to two lucky (randomly drawn) winners - once more sponsored by our fantastic sponsors

All you have to do to get the chance to win one of these or maybe even make our Top5 is to play along and share your three favourite steampunk projects from 2016 with us (the detailed explanation is to be found at the top of this post. Also make sure you check our few challenge rules if you haven't already done so, so we don't have to exclude anyone from prize draws or Top 5 votes. Thank you!).

Here's to a glorious start into a wonderful new year, packed with new steampunk adventures!!!

Hugs and happy crafting!
